Choosing to step out of her comfort zone and releasing her fear and doubt, she embraced a new faith journey. Miss Abi shares moments in which God revealed His beauty and faithfulness to her, and His truths that she held onto through times of frustration and uncertainty.
“On this journey, there are many treasures to be discovered, gifts and promises that God has given us through Christ. Salvation and knowing Christ are the greatest gifts of all. They have changed my life, my desires, and my perception of life itself. Life is not without obstacles and challenges, but I will choose to follow Christ every single day. Jesus did say to those who chose to be His followers to take up their cross and follow Him (Matthew 16:24). My life often feels shaken so much that the only way I can stay grounded is by seeking God’s presence, trusting Him, and giving Him control. In times such as these, it helps to focus on the present when my next step is unclear and I don’t know what to do, and find comfort that there is a bigger picture even when I cannot see it. Only by God’s strength and grace am I able to persevere through this journey and keep walking on the water, walking in faith into the unknown. Chrisna Abi (Chrisna du Plessis), 26, has a Bachelors in Interior Architecture, a Masters in Sustainable Design, and a diploma in Christian studies.
